CORE VALUES

What we are about, what is important to us, and what we want to strive for in the future:

PASSION
We are passionate about living out the gospel in the communities we serve.

(1 Corinthians 10:31, Colossians 3:23, Matt 5:16)

BIBLICAL TRUTH
We are servant leaders who strive to love our neighbors as ourselves. That includes inmates. We do not avoid conflict, and when it occurs, we approach it in truth and grace.

(Mark 10:42-45, Mark 12:30, Philippians 2:2-4)

RELATIONSHIPS
We believe each person is made in God’s image. Since people matter to God, they matter to us. As such, we will intentionally engage the inmate, the orphan and our communities. We believe life change happens through relationship. We will value people over tasks.

(Proverbs 22:2, Hebrews 10:24-25, Psalm 82:3-4, Jeremiah 22:16)

STEWARDSHIP
We are a 501c3. We are responsible with the resources entrusted to us (money, people, and time), recognizing they are God’s gift and provision and not our own. We will be generous in our giving of care, time and finances and demonstrate transparency to our donors.

(Acts 20:35)

INTEGRITY
We will do what we say, and say what we do. We value teamwork over individual accomplishments.

(Matt 5:7, Ecclesiastes 4:9-12, 1 Corinthians 12:12-31)

What We Do

What if everything you know about inmates and orphans is incomplete? Would you be curious how these two, sometimes forgotten groups, can be world changers? For about 12 years lives have been transformed.  We have proof.  There are ways you can be an important chapter in this story.

Inmates from multiple prison locations have become active sponsors of Otino Waa kids.  As you read this 115 inmates (from 13 facilities) sponsor 125 orphans!

What We Do

Why We Do It

We can all use instructions.  God’s instructions seem to invite us.

“God in His holy dwelling is a father of the fatherless and a champion of widows.

(Describes Otino Waa Children’s Village)

He provides homes for those who are deserted.

(Ever felt left behind or forgotten?  This would be YOU and me)

He leads out the prisoners to prosperity.” Psalm 68:5-6

(Prosperity = unlimited encouragement to man or woman in custody)

What allows this to continue?  YOU.

Why We Do It

How We Do It

Our custom sponsorship program includes the children of Option Waa Children’s Village, Uganda and state prison inmates.  Your purchase of amazing inmate art helps support the orphans and encourages the artists.  With YOU we engage prisoners within chapel services, art groups and other projects.

Want to be part of the story?

You can directly support a child at Otino Waa by matching the monthly sponsorship of an adult in custody. Due to the limited resources available to these men and women, Visions of Hope has created a custom program for adults in custody whereby they can sponsor an Otino Waa child in Uganda for only $5 a month.

$5 is a sacrifice for them.  Would that be an investment in lives for YOU?

If only you could see the joy on the faces of the forgotten men and women in custody when we told them YOU were willing to partner through a matching donation!  Your matching donation, in any amount, engages you in a world changing relationship.

The adult in custody, the Otino Waa child, AND YOU will be changed forever.

We are looking for 20 new donors giving $50/month each.  Would that be a worthy investment in lives?
